Big Earth is a videogame in the genre of horizontal platformer with numerous complex puzzles that require the gamer to use his creative approach and logic skills. The action is set in a post-apocalyptic future on planet Earth. During this period of civilization, humans were forced to leave the surface of the planet and seek a better life in space. The protagonist is a talented scientist named Kyle Sid, who dreams of getting back on track.

The protagonist of Big Earth is convinced that with the help of his recent technological inventions the Earth can be turned into a prosperous land again, fit for re-population by humans. To this end, he embarks alone on a perilous journey and, for reasons unknown, shrinks in size as soon as he enters the atmosphere. However, this does not stop him. The hero must overcome a bunch of physical obstacles, solve a host of complex puzzles, and employ futuristic mechanisms to restore.

Notable feature of the platformer is the photorealistic graphics with lively animation. Consequently, the gamer travels through a real world in which not only plants look real, but also a variety of animals, including insects, small mammals and birds.
