Overture tells the story of Philippe Lafresque, a 30-year-old physicist, who received a letter from his father, who by that time was presumed dead. This event takes the protagonist to Greenland, where he finds a mine and descends into it. Suddenly, the staircase leading downward breaks, and Philip can only go further to the unknown. After a long walk, he finds a walkie-talkie through which he communicates with a certain Red. The interlocutor of the protagonist has already spent a lot of time in the mines and says that he will help Lafresque if he fulfills a couple of his conditions.

Black plague continues the story of Philip, and the gameplay starts with the hero waking up in a locked room. He has a long way to go in the mines in Greenland, will meet with Dr. Amabel Swanson and explore the base "Station Manwick", located underground.

Requiem begins as Philip awakens in a tomb-like dungeon, after which control over the character is immediately given to the gamer. The hero experiences déjà vu, and while exploring the surrounding place, he begins to recall previous events. The plot of this part has 2 endings, but a good ending is a secret passage.

The gameplay of each game is almost the same. The older parts of the franchise have improved graphics and a more interactive world. Interact with your environment and read a variety of notes.
