Towertale concentrates all its gameplay on battles with the leaders. Apart from the boss rush in this game, in fact, there is nothing else. The indie project consists of 11 levels. Each boss is unique. There is death with a scythe, a giant humanoid mushroom, a minotaur, a sand worm, a sorcerer, a samurai, a slug, a stone golem and others. All villains have multiple phases and attack patterns. You can fight with them in the company of 2-4 friends. Comrades will need gamepads, because multiplayer is only local here.

There are 4 heroes in Towertale:

• Lionel - standard warrior with sword and shield;
  
• Faindrel - a clever archer girl who looks like an elf;

• Dark Echo - Assassin with two blades and throwing daggers.
  

Each character has its own motivation, storyline and 8 types of attacks. The story tells how several adventurers simultaneously went to the magic tower to destroy the past and change their destiny. The story is told through cut-scenes between fights. The game can be completed in one of 6 endings. There is a choice of 3 difficulty levels.
