Each sacred sanctuary is riddled with traps, and every corridor is patrolled by guardians. Progressing through these chambers one after another is no easy feat, as you only get one shot. If you fail, resurrection in that location is off the table, and you'll have to start anew, albeit in a different place. The coveted artifacts lie on the lower, heavily guarded tiers. Victory goes to the one who claims the most powerful relic for themselves. Or who eliminates their opponents.

Before each delve into Phantom Abyss, you arm yourself with auxiliary items – whips that activate traps from a distance or help reach buttons, levers, and switches. Along the way, you'll need to unlock chests and discover hidden chambers with keys and various bonuses that enhance or hasten your character. Abilities like double jumping, extended hovering, or prolonged sliding come in handy. Treasures found can be sacrificed to appease the spirits. However, each item comes with certain curses that negatively affect the protagonist.
